Manasota Flooring, Inc is committed to minimizing flooring's impact on the environment through the "3 R's" which is reduce, reuse and recycle.

Manasota Flooring, Inc. has aligned with manufacturers who are committed to research, development and implementation of environment friendly products and manufacturing processes.

Helping the Environment:

• All post-consumer nylon carpet removed by Manasota Flooring, Inc. is returned to our corporate warehouse. We have partnered with a recycling company who picks up the remnants. This allows post-consumer nylon carpets to be recycled instead of going to the local landfill
• Post-consumer nylon carpets are converted back to its original material – caprolactam. The recycled caprolactam is mixed with new caprolactam during the manufacturing process and new nylon fiber is made.
• All plastic water and soft drink containers are recycled. These plastic bottles can be recycled into beautiful, luxurious polyester carpets. Every year 3 billion plastic bottles are kept out of landfills. Because plastic beverage bottles are required to be made with top quality PET (polyethylene terephthalate) resins, the recycled product is superior to lower grades of synthetic fibers used in making other brands of carpet yarns.
• PET bottles are sorted, ground into fine chips, and then cleaned. The chips are melted and extruded into fiber and spun into carpet yarn. The yarn is then manufactured into strong, luxurious carpet.
